Community Social Needs
The Town of Morinville is undertaking a Social Needs Assessment to better understand how community members are doing, what supports are most needed, and how we can work together to strengthen community well-being.
Building on what we’ve already heard through interviews, focus groups, and community conversations, this next phase invites the community, organizations, and partners to help shape the path forward. Together, we’ll explore how to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities in ways that build a more connected, inclusive, and resilient Morinville.
Community Dinner and Design Labs
You’re invited to take part in Morinville’s Community Design Labs on December 4, 2025 — a hands-on opportunity to help design solutions for the community challenges and priorities identified so far.
Join us for an evening of collaboration, conversation, and connection:
- 5 p.m. - Community Dinner (registration required for the dinner)
- 6 p.m. - Design Lab (open to everyone 8 years and older; no registration required if you're not attending the dinner portion before the Design Lab begins.)
Bring your ideas, insights, and even your kids (8+) as we explore the question: “Here’s what we heard — now what?”
The session will include a review of key findings, small-group idea-building, and a shared meal to celebrate community spirit. Your voice will directly shape the recommendations that guide Morinville’s future well-being.
Online Survey
To have your voice heard, please complete the Social Needs Assessment Survey.
This short, anonymous survey helps validate what we’ve heard so far and ensures the findings reflect the lived experiences of community members across Morinville. Your feedback will inform future planning, funding, and community supports — helping to build a Morinville where everyone feels safe, connected, and supported. The online survey will be open from November 13 at 7 a.m. to December 12 at 11:59 p.m.
