NEW: As Council continues to advocate for these improvements, Mayor Boersma has sent a letter to The Honourable Devin Dreeshen, Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors, requesting funding support for this initiative. A copy of this letter is included in the documents tab to the right.

The What We Heard report was presented to Council on February 21, 2023, and included the following recommendations:

Cardiff and 100 Street: Roundabout provides a higher level, of service, aligns with Policy and Alberta Transportation’s long-term plans, and similar overall project costs.

Grandin and 100 Avenue: Signalization is significantly less expensive, meets resident

Next Steps: Design Phase

  • Design Phase Construction Phase Conduct detailed engineering design
  • Coordinate with Utility companies
  • Prepare construction cost estimates
  • Land acquisition, if required
