    MyMorinville MDP Survey - Spring 2025

    Public engagement for the final stage of the Municipal Development Plan has begun, and we want to hear from you again! 

    Earlier this year and last year many of you took the time to participate in engagement activities and share your vision for Morinville’s future. We heard you. Based on your feedback, along with continued dialogue with Mayor and Council, we’ve revised the draft Community Direction Statement, Expectations, and Priorities, which we’re sharing with you again for your feedback. 

    This survey is your chance to review the revised content and tell us if it still reflects your vision.

    MyMorinville MDP Survey - Winter 2025

    Public engagement for the next stage of the Municipal Development Plan has begun, and we want to hear your thoughts on the draft Community Direction Statement, Expectations and Priorities for the Municipal Development Plan. These have been created based on the results of the first two phases of the engagement program, and through ongoing dialogue with Mayor and Council.  

    The Community Direction statement defines our aspirations and is based on our values, Community Expectations communicate our desires, and Commmunity Priorities are the goals we aim for. The Community Expectations stem from the community and reflect our collective aspirations for Morinville. These are intended to be community centric, personal and help guide the overall direction of the MDP. To achieve Community Expectations, we must advance MDP priorities and Future Initiatives. 

    Community Priorities are the primary goals or objectives of the MDP. They will guide the creation of the plan's policies that meet and implement the priorities. Plan initiatives are future directions of the MDP. They will help to achieve the overarching Community Direction Statement, Expectations and Priorities outside of the plan's policy framework. The purpose of this survey is to share the draft content for each of these deliverables and refine them based on public feedback.

    MyMorinville MDP Survey - Summer 2024

    Morinville is creating a new Municipal Development Plan (MDP). A Municipal Development Plan is like a roadmap for your community. It is a high-level statutory policy document that outlines how a community is expected to change over time, and what it wants to be in the future. A Municipal Development Plan is required by provincial legislation and helps ensure a community’s land assets are used appropriately and efficiently both today and years from now. 

    Your ideas will help shape the Municipal Development Plan. Complete the survey below before September 23, 2024. The results will be included in a future engagement summary report.
